Joining the band in Perth
We had a great turnout of talented young musicians for our newest RBC Bluesfest Be in the Band program located in Perth. Participant
s included young guitarist/singer/bass player Madison McNeely pictured on the left with her mom and sister and Tanis from YAK Youth Serv
ices. Also, pictured to the right is singer Evelyn Jones with her mom, her singer friend Emily and our resident band coach Jeff Kohl.
Perth has a vibrant music, arts and theatre community so it was no surprise to see so much talent come out for our inaugural year in town. Special thanks to the Stewart Park Festival for their part in helping to bring this program out to Perth as well as The Festival of Small Halls for setting the stage and allowing us to expand our community ties in the area.
