Two Glebe Bands Advance Toward RBC Bluesfest 2017

We had another great performance night at the Glebe Neighbourhood Activities Group on Friday, April 21. This year, the Be in the Band group working at Glashan Public School with local musician Matt Chaffey joined in with “Swoon” from the community centre (led by band coach Todd Snelgrove), as well as a few up and coming local young musicians. It was an excellent night of music and we are more than happy to invite these two hard working bands to perform on Sunday, July 16th at RBC Bluesfest. RBC Bluesfest Be in the Band started in 2009 at the Glebe Community Centre and every year has produced some incredible bands, many of whom have gone on as bands or individuals to careers in music and performances across Canada. It is a community centre second to none in the city with a passionate group of directors and staff dedicated to facilitating programs to youth since 1974!
