Brazilian Drumming for Families

Back by popular demand, Brazilian Drumming with Liz Hanson!

Come to BSOMA to take part in a family workshop in Brazilian drumming. We will learn traditional Brazilian rhythms such as Samba and Afoxe. This high energy and dynamic music will be played on buckets drums, bells and shakers, with parts ranging from beginner to advanced. All ages and levels are welcome. Taught by percussionist/musician/educator/mom Liz Hanson who recently moved to Ottawa from New York City. Liz has a background in classical percussion and studied traditional music in Brazil. She has vast experience as a teaching artist and a certified music educator. Let’s bring your family and our community together through drumming!
