When: Sept. 11 and 12, Sept. 18 and 19, Sept. 25 and 26

Food from NAC chef Kenton Leier and Montreal chef Helena Loureiro will be served Sept. 11 and 12. Loureiro has two restaurants in Montreal (Portus 360 and Helena Restaurant) and excels at dishes inspired by her Portuguese heritage. She was to have been featured as a resident chef at 1 Elgin in mid-March this year, but COVID-19 scuttled that plan.

Music by Dueling Pianos, with famed piano men and veterans of the local scene Dave Kalil and Tyler Kealey.

On Sept. 18 and 19, Leier joins forces with Pascal Menard, the chef for Global Affairs Canada and the Canadian Museum of History’s chef Ian Bilodeau, who was previously Leier’s executive sous chef.

Music by local chanteuse and perennial festival favourite Rebecca Noelle.

The final weekend, Sept. 25 and 26, will see Leier host Inuk chef Sheila Flaherty (of sijjakkut in Iqaluit), who has competed on MasterChef Canada, cooked for visiting royalty and designed menus for Ottawa’s A Taste of the Arctic festival.

Music by the 2020 International Blues Challenge winner HOROJO TRIO, featuring Jamie Holmes, Jeff Rogers and JW-Jones.
